Welcome Andrew,

I am happy to see you from Lespwa, it give me Hope also.  If you want I can put a link to your site on member links page?

I can't back this up but I believe the cholera would be gone in Haiti by now if there was good soil on the island.  Normally the top layer of dirt has microorganizms that eat pathogens.  The eroded soil in Haiti doesn't hold anything including moisture so it quickly runs to the rivers and continues the deadly cycle.

Please keep coming to our site, ask questions and give suggestions, thanks Mike

Welcome Andrew, I'm the guy trying to get to Haiti to dissipate my knowledge about Effective Microorganisms(EM-1) and Biochar, a way of life, that IS sustainable. So if you have any questions about their uses in agriculture, sanitation, aquaculture, cleaning of lakes, growing mushrooms, getting rid of bad odors and for making Biochar, I'm your contact stuck here in South Florida, willing to help from here. Hoping to one day get Pres. Martelly's attention to present my project which would be GOOD for all in Haiti.

I just added another page to My whatever: http://haitireconstruction.ning.com/profiles/blogs/the-wonders-of-effective

I hope this is of use to you...
