I am currently working for World Wide Village, in the past I have worked solo helping people start small businesses so they can become self sustaining. I am looking to change organizations that I am working for.

Hello Rebecca,

Sorry for being late in responding, been busy with my van's transmission and then driving to NY and back to S. Florida.

Does World Wide Village use local resources to build houses and do you know about "Ceramicrete" from Argonne National Labs.

I hope you want to get involved!  Tell us more of what you’re interested in and would like to help with.  Or ask other members questions on how we can help you.

Haiti Reconstruction welcomes you and hopes you will learn and be able to find our pages useful to you and your endeavors and tell us of your situation. You can message individuals or leave posts for all to see in an endeavor to help us unite in helping Haiti revive.

The main present project is to expand the use of our TLUD stoves so as to reduce smoke inhalation from cooking indoors.

Second is to prevent erosion by planting Vetiver rows on the mountains and elsewhere to stop erosion and enrich the soil for row cultivation

Third is to teach people how to make and use bio-char through using the TLUD stoves.
and,

Fourth is to start learning how to make and use AEM(Activated Effective Microorganisms). This I is where I come in concerning Activating EM-1 and making its many derivatives and where to use them.

So explore the many other project and tell us about yourself and don't hesitate to join in with your questions and comments. We need participation if we are to help Haiti.

All of this is very interesting to me! I am currently looking for a different organization in Haiti to work for. My back ground here is varied, but I can't work for an organization that doesn't have there act together! I have a back ground in concrete work, I have worked with it since I was very young... most recently i worked for a company that uses the STONEMAKERS proccess. I have an extensive background in agriculture both animals and plants. I have also worked in sales, very successfuly. I live in Haiti and have no plans to leave other that visits to the States. Haitian friends and I currently plant trees here in haiti on the weekends, we use our own money to do this and the grass you mention is of great interest to us.

I hope we can work together in the future on the things you mentioned in your comment!

Hello Rebecca Bailey, sorry it has taken me so long to welcome you.  I have been very busy trying to get our training center going in Arcahaie.  I am happy your interest is in agriculture, what organization are you working for now?  I am afraid its taking a lot of time to get our act together getting our training center running, we may not be ready for many months yet.  We will have to talk if your interested in teaching when we start getting students from all over Haiti for our stove training.

I picked interest on you after going through your short profile and demand it necessary to write you immediately. I have something very vital to disclose to you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me on(allyoueverneed200@gmail.com ) for the full details.
