orietta said… Welcome Philip sorry it has taken so long for me to do this. Have been very busy trying to put together a improved stove project.
I am happy you are communicating with Orietta, any freind of hers is a freind of mine.
Any questions or suggestions please ask
Hi Phillip
Your pure plant oil stove idea is not a bad one but please hear me out. I am not in favor of producing a lot of biofuel from agricultural land in Haiti because we beleive in the long run this will produce money for large corporations and leave the farmers with little. The land is needed to produce food first.
But there is a need for some plants like jatropha that is already in Haiti, they make a great live fence. Cold pressing the poison seeds will make biodiesel but this addition process is not needed. We can burn these oily seeds as a clean fuel in a TLUD cook stove which also make biochar.
Keep in touch because we are working with Paul Anderson on this project now and hope to bring them to Haiti soon.
Hi Phillip
